Sully

There are a lot of heartbreaking stories in the world of horse rescue. Not one can be compared to the other but what happens to foals born with deformities and not given proper treatment is one of the toughest ones.

Sully was only a few months old when he was taken to auction. He was purchased sight unseen and when the buyer realized his leg deformities he was going to send him back to auction. Just a baby he was at very high risk of being sold for slaughter.

Thankfully Horse Heroes Alberta were contacted and able to step in. There was no hope that Sully would live a pain free life. The best thing for him was the Last Act of Kindness. We are thankful that he is no longer suffering and that he never had to endure the horrors of slaughter. We are grateful to have been able to support Horse Heroes Alberta with our Humane Euthanasia grant.
