Tigger

Tigger was rescued at auction in May 2025 by the good people at Blackbird Ranch Equine Rescue and Rehabilitation. Incredibly, at 30 years old he was still in great shape, which is especially amazing because he was at auction just the previous year!

He was able to enjoy that first summer on pasture with new friends. Tigger had a big personality and he loved being spoiled with carrots and treats. Despite being almost blind, as long as people announced their presence, he would happily accept attention. He was the sweetest boy.

Even though he came through winter ok, like Ash, the spring was hard on him. The torrential rains, flooding and mud, then the heat and the flies, his body had a hard time coping. He began to lose weight and became completely blind. At 31 years of age, they knew his time had come and he was lovingly given the Last Act of Kindness. Many thanks to our donors who made it possible for us to provide them with our Humane Euthanasia Grant.
