Much loved bonded pair

While some stories are hard share, others are a joy. These beautiful girls were blessed to live their long lives together with the same owner, one since birth and the other since she was a yearling. It is hard to imagine anything better for a horse. It fills our hearts with so much gratitude, a joyous reminder of the deep love and commitment people have for their horses.

When the time came that their aging bodies were catching up with them, they were lovingly given the Last Act of Kindness together. Neither had to experience the loss of the other and the toll such grief would cause after a shared lifetime with each other. We are so grateful to their owner for doing right by them, especially knowing how hard it must have been to lose both of them at once. We were so pleased to have been able to support them with our Humane Euthanasia Grant.
