A very loved and special mare

A very loved and special mare was given the Last Act of Kindness this week. While we don’t know her full story we do know that she was well into her 30’s. She lived on pasture with two other younger horses who are in great health and a good body condition score. She did not look like this due to neglect. As horses age they develop health challenges and it shows in their bodies.

With the caring support of Freedom's Gate Equine Rescue Society, her owners did right by her. We are so grateful to have been able to provide a grant to assist with the cost of humane euthanasia.
