A cryptorchid horse should not be bred

This beautiful boy was purchased by his new owner to be a breeding stallion so he could make some extra money. Thankfully his owner had a change of heart when he realized that he was a cryptorchid. Instead he has been gelded, giving him a much better life and not contributing to the unwanted horse population. We were very happy to provide his owner with our Gelding Grant.
Sadly backyard breeding is done by people who are far less responsible that this boy's owner. Horse breeding should be done only after careful consideration of genetics and heritable conditions. It should also only be done with a proper plan for the welfare of the future of the offspring.
If you or someone you know has a stallion, please consider having them gelded. Our Gelding Grant is available to private horse owners and horse rescue organizations.
