A good life

It is always heartwarming to share a story of love and devotion. This beautiful mare was a Rocky Mountain Horse who was imported from Kentucky years ago to be part of a breeding program in Canada. She had a good life and was well cared for. She turned 30 in March, a remarkable age for any horse. When she recently started to decline and eventually refused to eat, her owner knew her time had come.

We are so grateful to her owner for giving her the Last Act of Kindness, treating her with dignity and respect. We are so pleased to have been able to provide them with our Humane Euthanasia Grant.
